Collective Sanitation System

The project main objective is to protect the groundwater aquifers and provide treated wastewater for reuse in agriculture. The reuse scheme was studied in detail in terms of land available, crop types, storage facilities and irrigation methodologies.

Prepare feasibility study and EIA for implementing wastewater treatment plant and sewage collection network for Ramallah and Beitunia Municipalities. The project included also the study of WW reuse scheme and allocates potential irrigation and agricultural areas.

UG in JV with Gauff- Germany has been providing the following services:

  1. Data collection and assessment of existing sanitation system in Ramallah, Al-Bireh and Beitunia
  2. Participate in the preparation of the feasibility study
  3. Prepare Environmental Impact Assessment Study
  4. Conduct Industrial Survey.
  5. Study the reuse potential and WW reuse scheme
  6. Design of the WW collection system and reuse scheme.
  7. Participate in the financial analysis study.
