The project aims at:
- Improving sewerage services in South Tubas and Al Farie’a areas through establishing sewerage collection system, WWTP and reuse system of treated wastewater for irrigation;
- Reusing of treated wastewater of Al Bireh existing wastewater treatment plant to improve the agricultural sector in Al Auja area
UG in association with Artelia- France has been providing the following services:
- recommendation of a technical solution for wastewater collection and treatment. An environmental impact study will validate that the proposed solution is optimized from an environmental point of view.
- The management of the system and, in particular, the operation and maintenance is a main parameter when developing the technical solution. A management model were suggested.
- Finally, the economic, agricultural and social concerns of the reuse of treated sewage effluent were validated..
